½ cup softened butter
¼ cup firmly packed brown sugar
¼ cup granulated sugar
1 mall egg yolk, well beaten
1 tablespoon orange juice
1 tablespoon grated orange rind
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/8 teaspoon baking powder
¼ cup finely chopped pecans
Cream butter and add sugars, beating until light and smooth. Add egg yolk, orange juice, and orange rind, blending well. Combine flour and baking powder; add to creamed mixture and blend well. Stir in pecans. Wrap dough in waxed paper and chill. Shape into a roll two inches in diameter. Chill overnight until firm. Slice as thinly as possible. Place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake in a preheated 300 degree oven for 12 minutes.
